About Homezylla

Homezylla was started for one simple reason — because finding genuinely useful, honest home decor advice online is surprisingly hard.

Most decor websites show you picture-perfect rooms that cost thousands of dollars to recreate. They show you “budget” ideas that still require a designer. They give you inspiration with no practical follow-through. That gap is exactly why Homezylla exists.

We are here to show you what actually works — in real homes, with real budgets, by real people who have made plenty of decorating mistakes along the way.

Who Is Behind Homezylla

Homezylla is run by Luna Rose, a home decor writer and interior styling enthusiast with over 6 years of hands-on experience transforming living spaces on a budget.

Luna did not go to design school. She learned by doing — renovating her first small apartment on a $400 budget, spending weekends at thrift stores hunting for hidden gems, and making every decorating mistake possible before figuring out what actually makes a space look and feel better.

Over the years she renovated three different homes — from a cramped studio apartment to a full three-bedroom house — experimenting with everything from peel-and-stick flooring to DIY furniture builds to complete room makeovers using only secondhand pieces.

That hands-on experience is what drives every article on Homezylla. Not trends for the sake of trends. Not advice copied from a design textbook. Real ideas that have been tested in real spaces.

What Homezylla Covers

Every article on Homezylla is written to answer one question: “What would actually help someone improve their home today?”

That means we cover:

  • Budget-friendly decor ideas — with real cost estimates, not vague “affordable” claims
  • Room-by-room styling guides — bedrooms, living rooms, sunrooms, kitchens, outdoor spaces
  • DIY projects — with honest assessments of difficulty, time, and actual cost
  • Furniture and decor recommendations — specific products, not just generic categories
  • Small space solutions — practical ideas for apartments, rentals, and compact homes
  • Landscaping and outdoor ideas — because your outdoor space deserves as much attention as indoors

We do not cover luxury renovations, high-end designer products, or anything that requires hiring a professional team. There are plenty of websites for that. Homezylla is for everyone else.

Our Content Philosophy

Every piece of content on Homezylla goes through a simple filter before it gets published:

  • Is this actually useful to someone decorating on a budget?
  • Does it give specific, actionable advice — not just vague inspiration?
  • Would a real person be able to act on this today?

If the answer to any of those is no, it does not get published. We would rather have fewer, genuinely helpful articles than hundreds of posts that waste your time.

Why You Can Trust What You Read Here

We are not a faceless content farm. Every article on Homezylla is written by someone who has personally dealt with the challenges of decorating a real home — tight budgets, limited space, furniture that does not fit, paint colors that looked nothing like the swatch.

When we recommend a specific product, it is because it is genuinely worth considering — not because someone paid us to mention it. When we share a cost estimate, it is based on real current prices — not numbers pulled from thin air.

We do participate in affiliate programs, which means we may earn a small commission if you purchase something through a link on our site — at no extra cost to you. This helps keep Homezylla running. But it never influences what we recommend or what we write about.

A Note on How We Work

Homezylla is a small, independent website. It is not backed by a media company or a team of dozens. That means every article gets personal attention — and it also means we genuinely appreciate when readers reach out with questions, suggestions, or feedback.

If there is a topic you want us to cover, a question you cannot find the answer to, or feedback on something we got wrong — please tell us. We read every message.
